Exciting Hari Raya and Merdeka Day promotions to spice up this festive season!
Kuala Lumpur, 18 August 2011 – In conjunction with the double festive celebration for Hari Raya and Merdeka Day this year, holiday goers at Resorts World Genting can anticipate a series of exciting promotions and festive activities lining up in August and September. From mouth watering cuisine, traditional Malay performances to dazzling fireworks, the Resort is all geared to have a merry Merdeka Raya celebration this year! Treat yourself to a scrumptious Raya Merdeka Buffet at Coffee Terrace, Maxims Genting from 30 August to 1 September 2011 with traditional food buffet spread such as tulang rusuk singgang, gulai ayam kampong, lemang tradisi, ketupat warisan and many other mouth watering dishes. Available for only 3 days, the buffet spread during lunch is priced at RM58++ for adult; and RM29++ for children. Buffet dinner is priced at RM66++ for adult; and RM33++ for children.
From 1 to 29 August 2011, enjoy 2 dining experience at 1 price with Best of 2 Worlds Buffet at Resort Café & Restoran Kampong for lunch and Malaysian Authentic Buffet for dinner. More than 200 varieties of dishes will be featured on the buffet spread and a wide range of ikan bakar will be served. Also, look-up for the local homemade soup during buffet dinner, which is the crown jewel among all the dishes featured. It will surely entice your appetite! Both buffet spread is priced at RM41++ for adult and RM20.50++ for children. Special 40% discount is given for senior citizens during buffet lunch and dinner; early bird diners from 5 pm to 6 pm are also entitled to 20% discount.
Resort Café & Restoran Kampong will also host a grand feast for diners on 30 and 31 August 2011 with Merdeka Raya Celebration for buffet lunch which starts from 12 noon onwards to 2.30 pm; and buffet dinner from 5 pm to 10.30 pm. A variety of Raya ‘must-eats’ such as lemang, ketupat, rendang and homemade traditional cookies will be featured. The buffet lunch and dinner is priced at RM41++ for adult and RM20.50++ for children. Special 40% discount is given for senior citizens during buffet lunch and dinner; early bird diners from 5 pm to 6 pm are also entitled to 20% discount.
From 15 to 31 August 2011, Merdeka Raya buffet spread is available at First World Café during lunch (from 12 noon to 2.30 pm) and dinner (from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.) Local favourites such as ikan bakar sambal, mee rebus, gulai kawah, murtabak and many more will be served! To celebrate the occasion, diners are treated to a special teh tarik showmanship on the 30 of August (during dinner) and on the 31 of August (during lunch and dinner.) Buffet lunch is priced at RM41++ for adult and RM20.50++ for children; while buffet dinner is priced at RM48++ for adult and RM24++ for children.
Aside from good food, great fun awaits too! Genting Outdoor Theme Park will be hosting a series of activities during Hari Raya and National Day – including colouring contest, Batu Seremban Fun Challenge, Gift Passing Fun Game, Art & Craft Themed Workshop and Fun Draw Session at Merdeka Stage daily. Show performances by Kompang Troupe along with Malay Singing and Dancing Show and the daily Fire Eater Show at night will definitely heat up the festive atmosphere!
On 30 August 2011, a spectacular display of Hari Raya Fireworks will be lighting up the skies of the resort at the Merdeka Square located at Genting Outdoor Theme Park at 8pm. The entertainment program will start from 7 pm onwards.
In line with Malaysia Day, another event highlight at the Genting Outdoor Theme Park is the Ambang Merdeka Celebration which falls on the 15 of September 2011. With popular host Baki Zainal as the event’s emcee, HANDS Percussion ensemble, brass band performances and guest singer Zenny Salihuddin is set to entertain the crowd from 7.30 pm onwards. At 12 midnight, a special fireworks display will be held for all to enjoy, remembering our beloved nation’s special day.
