Did you know that until the early 1900s, cavities were almost non-existent in the USA? People still lost teeth, but mostly because of gum disease, not tooth decay. The reason is simple…up until that time in history, Americans consumed very little sugar unless they had a dessert with their meal. Then Coca Cola, Hershey’s candy and other sweet treats entered the picture and sugar, which is a major contributing factor to tooth decay, became more prevalent in the average American’s diet. A tropical fruit with great nutritional benefits...The papaya or paw paw is native to tropical America, but it is now grown in most tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. The large pear-shaped fruits grow up to approximately 8 inches in length. Some varieties remain green when ripe, but most turn deep yellow and orange.

As far as supplements go, the benefits of green tea extracts may be numerous. However, drinking the tea, especially the bottled varieties, is not the best way to get the benefit.
The beneficial compounds found in the teas are called catechins. There are several different catechins, all of which have antioxidant activity in the human body. Unlike other common antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C and E that are found in a variety of different fruits and vegetables, catechins are only found in the camellia sinensis plant (used to make black and green teas), some cocoa plants and some types of chocolate. So, the sources are limited.

As you probably know, there is chlorine in tap water. When you drink tap water, you take in some chlorine, but not enough to be dangerous. But when you take a shower, your pores open and absorb chlorine while you inhale the vapourized chlorine into your lungs.
