I was at my daughter’s Awards Ceremony recently. It is the home-school centre’s annual event to celebrate and reward the students’ achievement. It was a rather simple yet meaningful event. They had a few activities lined up, from group singing to a sketch and a few solo performances. FrogAsia unveils the Frog Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) during the Champion School Conference in Kuala Lumpur on 6 November 2012
Malaysia has created history by being the first country in the world to provide a virtual learning environment (VLE) on 4G to all public schools throughout the nation. The main objective of the project, known as 1BestariNet (1BN), is to bridge the digital divide between rural and urban students by making quality internet-enabled education available to all. The VLE of choice is a cloud-based platform for (supplementary) online teaching and learning, which has the unlikely but catchy name, Frog.
